Monica St. John-Close

Monica graduated from Trenton State College in 1989, with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education; additionally, she received her Elementary Certification.   Before becoming an educator, Monica was an executive secretary for a lobbyist in New Jersey for several years.  She began working at Rancocas Valley Adult High School in 1990 and continued to work there until 1995 as a Social Studies educator.  Mrs. St. John-Close started working in the Willingboro School District in the Spring of 1995. 

While in Willingboro, New Jersey, Monica taught 4th, 6th, 7th,8th, and 9th  grade throughout the District teaching a variety of subjects, such as Reading, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.   Middle school was her favorite and most rewarding experience because she enjoyed seeing her students’ minds mature into young adults.  Monica was also the advisor for the Key Club and the Academic Competition Clubs for several years.
